When it's dry, think water-wise
Before picking up your hose or turning on your sprinkler, take a moment to consider whether water wise is essential or if there is a water-saving alternative. Small changes in how and when we all use water make an impact, especially during dry conditions. Your water-wise efforts help to protect our water supply during peak, demand and throughout the year.
Please continue to follow the rules in the Water Conservation By-law for essential outdoor water use from May 31 to September 30.
Only use water outdoors from 5:30 - 10:30 a.m. and/or 7:00 - 11:00 p.m.
- Water lawns once a week on your assigned day.
- Water gardens, shrubs and trees, wash vehicles and/or top up pools on assigned alternating days.
- Request a temporary permit for watering new grass seed/sod or nematodes.
