Emergency Generators
A new version of the CSA's C282 emergency generator standard and recent releases of the latest Ontario Building and Fire Codes now permit the option for designers to install utility-fed emergency life-safety generators in buildings lieu of on-site fuel storage fed units. To assist firefighters and building officials, the Province's gas utilities have come together to offer a standardized gas regulator station design to building owners who wish to install such an emergency generator system which meets the requirements of the Standard and Codes. For more information please contact Barry Nash, Director of Utilities at barry.nash@kitchener.ca or 519-741-2531.
