The City of Kitchener has received a complaint of an unauthorized company claiming to be associated with the City conducting water testing in residents’ homes. Neither the City of Kitchener, nor Kitchener Utilities, is conducting any such water testing at this time. Neither organization is affiliated with, nor have they endorsed, any private companies or consultants to conduct residential water testing within the city.

The City of Kitchener and Kitchener Utilities respectfully request that residents report any suspicious water testing requests to the City at 519-741-2408.

Additionally, the City and Kitchener Utilities recommend that if a representative of a company claims to be associated with either organization, that residents request verification of the person’s identity and affiliation.
