Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
For your convenience, a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan for your Kitchener Utilities bill is available to make it easy for you to ensure your bill is always paid on time - avoiding late fees and inconvenience. For more information, scroll through the sections below or click on a question to go directly to its answer.
How does the Plan work? The Pre-Authorized Payment Plan enables you to pay your utility bills directly from your bank account, without having to write a cheque, pay for postage, or worry about missing due dates. There is no charge for this service from Kitchener Utilities, but any relevant service charges from your financial institution do apply. You will receive a bill, as usual, showing how much you owe that month. The automatic withdrawal from your account is made on the date indicated on your utility bill. You can join:
Download the application form here. What if I change chequing accounts? If you change your bank account, inform the Revenue Division in writing at least TWO WEEKS prior to the next payment date. As long as you remain in Kitchener, your application is still in effect, however, the withdrawal date and/or account number may or may not change. How can I withdraw from the Plan?
You may withdraw from the Plan by giving written notice at least two weeks prior to your next payment date. Who do I contact with questions? If you have any questions about the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, please call the Revenue Division at 519-741-2450.
