It has been reported that companies are contacting residents by telephone and door-to-door offering to upgrade tanks to a more energy efficient unit or to test their water quality. These companies are NOT affiliated with Kitchener Utilities or the City of Kitchener.
Please thoroughly review your options before making your decision and if you do decide to sign the contract, review the terms and conditions of the contract. Kitchener Utilities does not engage in door-to-door or telephone sales. And Kitchener Utilities offers the lowest rental water heater rates in Kitchener.

The City of Kitchener and Kitchener Utilities do not go door-to-door to sell anything, or to inspect natural gas furnaces and water heaters, or to test water quality. If we need to inspect or repair your rental water heater, natural gas or water meter, we will contact you in advance, by mail or by phone, to schedule a time.
