Our competitively priced program protects you from the costs of major appliance repairs. Our program also includes a yearly maintenance check to help ensure the life of your appliances. Two Steps to Peace of Mind

Step 1: Pre-Qualify Your Appliance

The first step in our protection plan is a pre-qualification inspection and the completion of any necessary repairs to bring your natural gas furnace, natural gas fireplace, or central air conditioning unit up to standard. If your appliance qualifies for our program, the cost of the pre-qualification inspection is included in the plan fee.**

**If your appliance does not qualify for our protection plan, the standard appliance inspection rate will apply.

Step 2: Enjoy Peace of Mind

Once your appliance has qualified and your contract is signed, your protection plan is in place. You'll have peace of mind knowing that you will be covered against unexpected repair costs.***

With the Kitchener Utilities Appliance Protection Plan, you will:

• Avoid large repair expenses – we’ll repair your appliances at no extra cost.***

• Extend the life of your appliances – this protection plan includes a yearly maintenance inspection on your insured appliances.

• Receive ongoing support – we also offer after-hours service for your furnace (6 p.m. to midnight) at no additional cost to you. Service hours for your air conditioner and/or fireplace are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Which Appliances May Qualify?

The Kitchener Utilities Appliance Protection Plan is restricted to:

• Air conditioning units up to 20 years old

• Natural gas furnaces up to 20 years old

• Natural gas fireplaces up to 10 years old

The Appliance Protection Plan does not include boiler systems, and senior’s discounts do not apply.
