When you purchase a natural gas fireplace, natural gas furnace or boiler, natural gas barbecue, natural gas pool heater. This program is available to Registered Owners of a property in Kitchener on approved credit. Central air conditioners qualify for financing but you must have a natural gas furnace to qualify.

Choose your finance option after the interest free period: 

• Six (6) month to five (5) year terms
• 12.9% interest rate per year
• No penalty for early payment — financing is totally open and can be paid off at any time without penalty.

• Automatic bank withdrawal — payments do not appear on the monthly gas and water bills.

Flexible Payment Options

At Kitchener Utilities, we understand that investing in new appliances is not an easy decision. That’s why we’ve put together a series of flexible payment options to meet your financing needs.

• Upon approved credit, receive no payment, no interest financing for one year on eligible natural gas fireplaces, furnaces or boilers, barbecues, and pool heaters purchased through a Kitchener Utilities Authorized Dealer.

• After the initial no payment, no interest period, you can finance your purchase from 6 months to 5 years at a 12.9% interest rate per annum or pay the outstanding balance in full. Either way, your appliance financing is open and can be paid off at any time without a penalty. Use the financing calculator to find out what your monthly payments could be.

• When you purchase an appliance through the Financing Program, your monthly payments can be made by pre-authorized cheque or automatic bank withdrawal. These payments will not appear on your gas and water bills or by debit at Kitchener City Hall cashiers' after automatic bank withdrawal.
