Bringing Natural Gas and Water Home to You

At Kitchener Utilities, we’re dedicated to providing our community with natural gas and water. We are the division of the City of Kitchener that has supplied our city with natural gas and water for more than 100 years. Owned by our taxpayers, we exist to serve and contribute to our community.

Our ongoing goal is to offer services and programs that meet you and your family’s needs.

Our Services

To deliver your natural gas and water, we maintain underground systems that include pumps, valves, and hundreds of kilometres of pipes. Well-maintained pipes mean that gas and water travel smoothly to your home and that sewage reliably makes its way to treatment plants.

As a publicly owned utility, all profits go directly back into the community. This investment pays off in efficient gas delivery, improved water quality, sewer reliability, and lower maintenance costs for the future.

Our Programs

We offer a number of programs to help you increase your home’s energy efficiency and save money. Current programs include:

  • Natural gas water heater rentals: take advantage of this worry-free, affordable choice
  • Programmable thermostats: control your heating and cooling costs – we’ll supply and install a programmable thermostat for one low price
  • Appliance Protection Plan: protect yourself against the high cost of appliance repairs
  • Financing: take months or up to five years to pay for natural gas furnaces, pool heaters, boilers, barbeques, and fireplaces and save on interest.
  • Furnace rebate: convert or upgrade your home heating system and save.
